Introduction | Ancienne Gare de déportation de Bobigny

Rare are memorials of internment and deportation that have kept intact their original disposition. The well preserved condition of the site of the former Bobigny deportation station and its evocative power (spirit or memory of the place) is what this project is founded upon. The idea is to preserve this heritage as an historical record of the memory of the Holocaust, respecting its authenticity, while emphasizing its historical and symbolic value. The industrial and railway character of the place will be highlighted through the use of its amazing on-site wasteland vegetation.
