The station acknowledged as a memorial (2005 - to this day)

In 2005, the departure of the metal yard and the sale of a portion of the site to the city made a project to develop the place possible. To accomplish this, the city of Bobigny commissioned design studies and created a steering committee for the project. They also restored the exterior of the passenger building, inaugurated in 2008 during the French National Heritage Days.

The city ran a campaign in 2009 and 2010 to recover testimonials to preserve the words of Bobigny deportation survivors.

In 2011, the SNCF and the City of Bobigny signed a cooperation protocol for the rehabilitation of the former railway wasteland, including a transfer of usage rights of part of the freight services to the city for a period of seventy years. Guillaume Pepy, president of the SNCF, delivered a speech on site recognizing the role of the SNCF in the deportation of the Jews of France.  His speech was made in the presence of Simone Veil, deported to Auschwitz from Bobigny. The exhibition "Bobigny, a station between Drancy and Auschwitz" was opened to the public in 2012.

En 2015, Jean-Marc TODESCHINI, secrétaire d’État auprès du Ministre de la Défense, chargé des Anciens Combattants et de la Mémoire, signe avec la Ville de Bobigny, une convention de partenariat financier pour le réaménagement paysager et scénographique du site afin d’en faire un lieu de transmission de la Mémoire et de l’Histoire de la déportation des juifs de France durant la Seconde Guerre Mondiale.
